PRAYER, HOTLINE TO GOD!
Prayer gives us the privilege to talk to Almighty God, Creator of the Universe. It puts His ability and omnipotence at your disposal. It transforms hearts, performs miracles and creates its own opportunities.
“The effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous avails much.” James 5:16 "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you- you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you." John 15:7
With such an impressive introduction, I know you are already asking these questions:
- Why then do few people pray?
- Why is there no seeming response when people do pray?
- Why do those who claim to have a response from God often receive an “unexpected answer”?
I am so glad you asked. The answer to the 1st question is obvious. It is because of the 2nd and 3rd questions. Few people pray because some people do not expect a response and others do not want the surprise of an “unexpected answer”. If more people really believed that God does exist and that His will is truly best, then more people would pray.
